Honestly I don't know though. Only Pokemon cards I've ever had were ones I stole from a kid at school in 2nd grade. (I know, I was a little hoodlum, I would never do such a thing now)
I stole a Japanese Monster Reborn (Yu-gi-oh) from a kid once. But he had it coming to him. And it was shiny.

No probably not espessaily since shaymin cards where given out at burger king... also the current pokemon cards (my opinion) are more loaded with legends than they where in the past I swear when I was a kid I use to buy them all the time one time I got a entire deck filled with only oddishes... I bought a new deck once like 3 legends. If you have a legedary from the roginal 150 it is worth something even more if shiney
