Which weapon.

Alright, so everyone knows about the dreaded "Zombie Apocalypse" right? Well A while back me and my brother got into an argument over which weapon would be better, a sword or a chainsaw.

I of course said a sword, after all, it's quiet, light, effective, and you can use it as long as you have energy. On the other hand, he says a chainsaw would be better. I find this very unlikely as they are heavy, bulky, loud, require a fuel source, and spray infected blood and guts around.

So, what opinions do you all have?

neither i would go with a gun. but if i had to choose between a sword and a chainsaw i would choose the sword because the awesome.

Chainsword, obviously.

Glock.

Salt.

You can take control of zombies and order them using incantations and salt.

So with salt I would build my own zombie army to combat the zombie horde and once they were defeated command my zombies to kill each other.

I'd kill the last one with a sword, or just order it to make its own grave.

Hey no I change my mind, I'll get a bunch of talismans and control them. :D At least, that's what you can do for the Chinese ones. They then proceed to make cute hopping motions around with their arms outstretched.

Controlling them and using them for protection I think would be a much better option than personally slaughtering them. though if I had to, I'd use a sword or maybe a bow and arrow.

Voodoo zombies are controlled with salt, though. Might be easier to get than talisman.

The bow might be the better option because you can stay ranged and won't risk infection or injury.

Neither, I'd beat the living (or unliving) hell outta someone or something with a bat...Higurashi style

If I was given a choice of sword, I'd probably pick a one handed, double edged sword like a Norman Broadsword or an EsPada Ropera. Though my ideal melee weapons would be a flanged mace and a Viking roundshield.

Also a sling. You will never run out of room or ammo for a sling.

If it was a choice between sword and chainsaw, I would definitely choose a sword.

A chainsaw would be too heavy, too loud, and lasts only as long as you can find fuel.

The only reason I would have a gun would be for a last resort. Otherwise it just makes too much noise.

I would choose a chainsaw simply because its technology and I can fix it up. If I need to, I could turn a chainsaw into any piece of technology I want, maybe even a gun. Gas should not be a problem since I can just take some from old gas stations.
