Lord no, the guy is an idiot. First off he studied sociology, which means ALL his view points are TERRIBLY biased in his field of study. People who study sociology are all the same horrible human beings. My view has been stated before:

The problem is that he 'understands' sociology and he therefore has ridiculous solutions to political 'problems' that are based on his own pathetic frustration and aren't political. And he somehow has this friend who thinks he's an absolute genius.
When you argue with people like that you really shouldn't get too long winded in the argument. Just fine one fallacy in their argument and keep repeating it. If a person doesn't recognize that a government under muslim extremists is just as oppressive as an absolute monarchy, let alone a constitutional monarchy, then they REALLY don't know what they are talking about. He's just a stupid social outcast, who studied sociology mind you, that read a few pieces of Marx and thinks he's some kind of expert. Yeah, Das Kapital was really boring, and the writing is bland and it doesn't flow at all well, but it basically summarises all of Marx's arguments so I guess it's worth having read

well capitalism was an upgrade of feudalism, whereas socialism is a complete replacement of all the tenants of both capitalism and feudalism. how is this transition natural?

marx was mainly 'wrong' due to the rise of the bismarckian welfare state. without that you wouldnt have had the social democrats dedicated to working within the system and perhaps germany's revolution would have been much more successful.

You can draw parallels between fuedalism -> capitalism, and capitalism -> socialism. But socialism -> communism is quite a jump.
