Eh.
Shows what I know about the World Wars. I stopped paying any real attention to wars after Napoleon.
And I even took the AP European History test where one question was "What was the base issue that sparked WWII?" and the answer was racism. WTF.
More like imperialism.
The other answers were
Religion
Germany's economic instability
Fascism
Treaty of Versailles
Derp///
I was just taking the test for fun, anyhow. I don't need the credits for passing it.
Probably facism.
probably
germanys economic instability is the best answer
I said that and got it wrong.
Racism was the "right" answer for some unknown reason. Stupid American testing. :|
was it the ap test itself or some shit made by your teacher
because high school teachers dont tend to be very bright
It was the national AP test.
I was thinking there economy, but that just started the nazi party itself, not the war.
their economy helped hitler take control. facism/imperialism was why he started invading other countries.
Fascism and (to a lesser extent) the Treaty of Versailles both would have served as better answers. The racism mostly came about as a tool used to justify Germany's expansion for land.
Maybe it's just a cheery way of teaching 'No discrimmination, kiddies!' at the expense of history.
yes lord everyone knows i went to school because of how often i complained about it for over 3 years. school teachers just dont tend to be that smart, at least in america. dogar for example actually thought adam smith's conception of the 'invisible hand' was, get this, GOVERNMENT INTERVENTION because thats what a high school teacher told him. (actually it is LITERALLY the opposite thing.) also i remember my government teacher in 12th grade saying that he was getting his master's degree because then he would make more money, and this is why "communism doesn't work." yes just brush over one of the most important philosophical/political conundrums in human history with a poorly thought through anecdotal tale.
and the best answer would just be german militarism.
Well alright God that's in America. Over here most teachers tend to know their stuff except for a few rare exceptions (usually maths teachers) and then the other teachers who are rated bad are those who can't control/communicate with a class. Most tend to know what they're talking about though.
Also a 'high school teacher' told Dogar what invisible hand was but what subject was teaching? Lots of people are ignorant towards things they have no knowledge of; being a teacher doesn't make you omnipotent.
I don't know what a government teacher is but over here we have a subject called CSPE which deals with that sort of stuff and communism, fascism, socialism etc are not brought up at all. You're more likely to encounter them in a business textbook.
i dont know about social sciences but the 'hard science' teachers here are quite competent, if not in teaching in general then at least in their subjects. english teachers dont know squat though. im fairly certain i can speak, write and in general have a better grasp of the english language than all of the english teachers in my school.
Rayne why is it that you are a much better poster than essay writer? Rayne respond to my post in that universe thread on cosmo.
lord the only essays youve ever seen me write were timed 25 minute drafts on highly ambiguous topics.
lord i dont believe you've ever posted an essay
