We need to do something about those spambots.

I can't manually delete their posts there's just too many. What we need to do is get Mewtwo to ban their IP.

how would banning their ip solve anything? there are numerous bots with numerous ips and even the same bot could easily use a proxy server.

You can make all newly registered accounts need Manual Activation from an Administrator to become active. You can then check the necessary information (IP adresses etc) of the accounts and decide whether it is a human or a Spambot. It may be a little inconvenient doing that, but it could be worth it if the spambots are eliminated from the site or at least significantly cut down in numbers.

There's a "Delete posts as Spam" button which will ask you if you would like to delete the person's complete list of posts and/or ban them at the same time. It's currently the most convenient way of dealing with them.

Don't be gay Rayne, we went through this. Someone, a PERSON, is signing up with the names MANUALLY and is releasing the bots under that username.

Click on the links A BUNCH of times then they will send you an e-mail.
