the only hbo show ive seen a lot of is the wire and there wasnt as much gratuitous nudity/sex on camera in its entire run as there was in the first episode of game of thrones

that was kind of mean and possibly untrue. forget i said that.

rayne watch the sopranos, at least season 1. you can enjoy it without getting involved or being bothered about watching later seasons, the first season is really a stand alone work which is spectacular. the next couple seasons are still great though but more contiguous so you have to prepared to be INVESTED.

I haven't watched much of the show, but the books are quite explicit as well.

I've never seen The Sopranos, I don't think we have it here and if we do it's probably just a re-run of the same episode
