Flagstaff is one of the snowiest cities in the US.
Arizona is only about half desert, the other half is part of rocky mountains or higher great prairie. I currently live at 7,000 feet. People only care about the desert part of the state because it's the only area that ever gets mentioned.

We got 22 cm of snow two days ago. It all melted within 2 hours. Then it snowed again and melted in the morning. Now it's alternating between 20 degree weather and -10.
