FEED by M T Anderson
Qoorl I read Feed because you suggested it you dick and you never even wanted to discuss it with me or anything
Well, let's discuss.
yeah how bout you make me a "PATHFINDER" character first qoorl
It was really awesome but the end dragged on and was overly depressing
Yeah, Tim I had typed up most of it, I'll get to it. Depressing? That was kind of the point. The world was going to shit from before the book started but no one cared. I really liked the commercials in the book, they really helped solidify the setting and foreshadowed things nicely.
At a readthrough of my next play, Ax of Murder now.
No I mean it had to be depressing in tone, but just how slowly what happened to her did and how he didn't give a shit pissed me off. But now that I'm actually talking and thinking about it I guess that made it better as a piece of satire because a lot of kids actually are like that
Yep.
That book was written in 03 but is already frighteningly accurate with kids I see in like middle school. That dude is a genius
He's done several other books, one set in the American Revolution, haven't read it yet though.
The rest of you should REALLY read FEED, it's pretty damning of pop culture, capitalism, teenagers and America though.
I'll look out for it :)
