I got my first job yesterday, Im basically the libraries bitch for minimum wage.
thats cool. jobs can get a lot worse.
I can only do it for like 3 hours a day though, not because of the time limits for freshman, but because all my classes are in the morning, and the library department I am in closes at 4:30.
what sort of library closes at 4:30
students are required to attend church for the rest of the day
The library doesn't close at 4:30, the department I am in closes. I basically work in the department that loans books out via mail, I think they close because after than the post office closes, so they have to do everything in the morning.
I worked from 11am to 6, then had class from 7:20 to 10. Now I'm taking a shit.
attended a talk today evening by jack dorsey, the founder of twitter and square. not a fan of twitter but he was mainly talking about square and it does seem pretty awesome.
bunch of events like that this week because career fairs are going on. yesterday the vp of intel talked about innovation and shit and today a software engineer from google talked about google+ or something. i went to an informal 'corporate connections' thing but im not going to any of the 'real' career fairs this semester because my resume sucks.
theres going to be qualcomm, microsoft, ebay and linkedin talks later this week. probably not going to go to any of them.
Wish I was in the tech sector.
