i don't know. i always hear python and ruby are good languages that are easy to start with.
Anything besides c
I got Java and HTML under my belt and learnign c++ right now.
I am having a hard time understanding the applications of c++ besides your program runs faster than like java. I don't see how you can use it to make video games at all so far, its all just text games because all you can output is fucking text.
depends on why you want to learn a programming language
to get bitches
actually i dunno, i guess if i had to direct it somewhere maybe to program iphone apps eventually? something i can do that i could make money doing freelance.
you need a mac to write iphone applications. the language is objective-c.
I could make a crappy 90esque version of a pokemon simulator with C++ to far, all I need to learn is connections with other computers and junk.
Most people I know started with Python, because the emphasis on readability makes it easier to learn.
