Russia, South Korea, Japan, and China are all in a spat over these damn islands. What they really want are the natural gas reserves which of course Japan isn't going to give up because they value natural resources like life itself. The biggest issue though is that all these nations have these chest-pounding right wing leaders who got elected on like 1 or 2 policies and those policies are basically to keep the country safe and stir up trouble with the neighbors.
