I can read and write at probably a child's level. Fuck listening though, I cannot audibly translate worth a damn. The curriculum apparently has it so that at the end of next semester I should be able to read a Chinese newspaper easily which is pretty neat.

I've seen a few little guides around the internet that are like cheat sheets for reading Korean and it doesn't seem all that difficult either. You should do it.

reading korean is insanely easy. their orthography was literally invented sometime in the 1700s specifically to make it easy for people to read and write.

before that they used some weird adapted version of chinese writing that only the aristocracy had the time and money to properly learn
