I kind of feel bad for the Romney supporters, where we was going to speak they had a TV on, and they booed the news and changed the channel every time the heard something bad, eventually they went in an infinite loop, turned off the TV, passed out flags and got quite. They are currently still waving the flags.
I think the house will actually do much better now, as the Republicans won't try another smear campaign on Obama by giving him shitty legislation

I haven't realized this until now, but the house and senate seem directly at odds in their formation. The house makes the laws and policies, while the senate reviews them, its not to hard to see a case, even in the 1700s where the house can't make policies that the president and senate agree with. I guess he just compromised better then.

also the democrats have found a winning message. i mean watch msnbc, it's shocking how much the democratic media establishment is doing in getting out the "right" message -- standard of living, lack of job security, the actual documented effects of neoliberalism, contrasting the US with "socialist" western europe who have less problems with everything, etc. obama won VIRGINIA both elections, a white democrat in 2016 can get traction among working class whites in much of the south.
