Imma have to say the Hobbit
The Hobbit
The Hobbit
uh huh
Haunted House lolol
Well this turned into a very though provoking and insightful thread. Good job, me.
the only 2012 movies i saw were the hobbit and the avengers
the only 2013 movie i was see will probably be the desolation of smaug
the Hobbit is going to be a 3 part movie
the next part will mainly thing be them fighting spiders and escaping the tree elf prison, we won't see smaug until the 3rd movie, luckily its actually at the beginning, most of the third act of the Hobbit is them fighting amounst themselves for the gold
I really can't decide. I really liked a shit ton of movies in 2012, and i haven't even seen Django yet.
im hoping the second ends after the conversation bilbo has with smaug
The title could easily be referring to the area around the Lonely Mountain that they will be traveling through that is desolate because of him burning it in the past.
Smaug could appear at the very, very end though, if that is the case though, a lot more of the 3rd movie will be them fighting for the gold.
ugh they way the parted it into three movies. its hard to tell what where they are going to cut it off. have you read the book kirby?
no I just watched the 1970s movie
but the responses from my father and a few other lotr fans I have seen online, pretty much agree that they won't have much smaug in the 3rd movie, especially since they seem to be creaming out pretty much every aspect of the book into 3 movies (remember the Hobbit isn't that long), a good portion of the middle of the book is them fighting spiders and in the elf prison, infact there is an entire chapter with them in barrels
Les Miserables
i know how long the book is kirby ive read it. i just dont see how they can make the third movie just the war and the returning journey. smaug cant die in the second movie.
Dark Knight Rises was fucking amazing
i've only watched 1/2 of a movie from 2012
it was a protugese movie and was getting pretty good but then 1 hour into it the subtitles cut off
god you should go see the hobbit
Anyone catch SNL's "More Hobbits" skit?

thatsamazing
Seven's probably right. It's likely that Smaug's death will be the end of Part 2 with the There and Back Again being the Battle of Five Armies and a bunch of linking LOTOR to the Hobbit. but The Desolation of Smaug does refer to the area around the Misty Mountains/Laketown... so we'll have to wait and sure to be sure.
