Hey Trixie and Kelsh! Qoorl can I borrow a chocolate milk?
Sup Goku? What are you doing these days
Working myself into a coma every night to be truthful. I haven't had time for anything, except for sleep. So how about you Trixie what have you been into lately?
Well I picked up more hours at my job so I can buy more music equipment, you know some keyboards, monitors, and MPC's. Are you a singer, musician, or music enthusiast?
Just a music enthusiast.
I love singing, but I've never performed anywhere or anything so it doesn't count. What kind of music do you play?
Nothing special I rap.
That's pretty cool. Can you beatbox?
EDIT: Omg, 10k posts
Lol NOOOO! I'm terrible at beat boxing. I'll spit on everything in a 5 foot radius.
Hahahaha oh well
So what kind of music do you listen to?
Anything really - from pop, rock etc to rap and even country.
I basically like any song that either has a good melody, a good beat, or tells a story in some way. I think that encompasses most songs out there. I've also been listening to a lot of classical music lately.
What's your kind of music? Just rap?
Well mostly, everything I do is basically a derivative of hip hop in some kind of way. I like telling stories in the verses, but I also don't like them to be too direct. So some times, which happens often in rap/hip hop, people think because a person is saying these things from first person point of view that these stories are about them. It's like the listeners don't have an imagination to take it and really connect the dots of what's happening anymore. I mean I make rap music but it's definitely not the only genre I limit myself to. I'd be fucking brain dead. Just as there is a bunch of shitty stuff in the genre that dilutes it, there's tons of great gems that nobody see because the industry markets terrible choices to make quick bucks. So the blogs are where you gotta pay attention. But after some where down the line when I've feel completely comfortable with rap I'll probably dabble with rock.
Well it's mostly because I've grew up with the music my entire life. I'm sure you probably like alternative music, so what do you think of Vampire Weekend?
I have actually never listened to them before, but I just looked them up. I like it - I feel like their songs could be good background music.
