aww we never had anything under our school building. the most exciting thing that ever happened in my elementary school was some photographer taking pictures of the first graders had a camera that had a flash that set off the fire alarm (that was a terribly constructed sentence). We had to file outside and then the firemen came and searched the building for 1 1/2 hours. I got to miss gym. :)
Ironically, that fire drill happened on 9/11/01.

in the class before the attacks happened we were learning how planes fly in tech ed

I was in like 2nd grade when 9/11 happened. :( And I don't remember anything from 5th grade to down so..
in fifth grade i had a flamboyantly gay teacher and i starred in the school play.
it was so awesome.
if you were in second grade, that would make you 12 because I'm fifteen and I was in fifth grade when it happened.
I don't remember much about kindergarten other than learning about dinosaurs, playing in the sandbox and doing the class play. I remember nothing about first grade other than wetting my pants during the school day (ugh that was embarassing). Second grade, not much. Third grade on, I can remember a good deal of stuff.
Preschool I can't recall anything other than learning about clouds and naptime and snacktime. I remember one snacktime quite well:
We were sitting at the table making christmas things for our families and then the teachers called out, "Okay, kids, snacktime!" So everyone rushed to their backpacks to get their snacks, and I had one of those little buttered popcorn baggies that you can buy at the store. I couldn't open the bag, and so I squeezed as hard as I could on it. The bag popped open... but on the wrong side. All my popcorn fell on the floor and I cried.
I was in 4th grade during the 9/11 ordeal. We had a Muslim kid in our class and the teacher had him talk about it and explain how "Allah would be mad at those men etc etc". Probably just so we wouldn't pick on him or be afraid of him or whatev.
I never had any muslim people in my classes :(
On 9/11 my teacher was going over trusting our president to help us in times of chaos or something like that. I can't remember 3rd grade very well.
I cant really remember what year it was for me.. but the whole school just went outside and stood there while the headmaster explained what had happened. No one cared.
I got out of school early :)
I didn't but a lot of kids got picked up early because the parents were scared.
hahahahahah. my parents would never pick me up if something like that happened here
neither would mine, and I think that because they didn't :(
my parents are terribly sensitive, yet not at all.
oh by the way casey I don't know if I told you this yet but Katie shit her pants and tried to soak them in the bathroom sink Monday night
