You learn so differently. Our teacher would murder us if we just wrote 好き？ We have to include desuka or she will knife us.
Anyways... uh. No clue what it's called, but every time we go on the field trip to the Japanese district of Denver, we always go to the same place. They have this bowl of rice with chicken and this topping that I love.
She also makes us say おすし
Wow, your teacher sounds pretty strict.
My teacher let us learn the more informal stuff, and next year we're gonna learn how to use the least amount of particles and talk really, really informally. Like with some slang. :D
And she probably just wants to make you respect sushi. :P
Oh, and every semester our class has a "culture day" where everyone gets to try Japanese food while we watch Japanese TV. So I've had a lot of interesting stuff like mochi ice cream.
We kind of do the same thing. We watch a movie (usually miyazaki) and then go on a field trip to the Japanese part of town.
There's also a Japanese club but that's for those excessively annoying anime obsessed japan obsessed obsessive obsessed cultists.

Quick question: Is it just me, or do more people have those kanji and kana show up mostly as boxes with 4 digits in it like a square, digits including capital letters?
Also, if anybody knows an easy way of how to 'fix' the problem, greatly appreciated if you could tell me.
Um, if you're on IE try right clicking and click encoding for Japanese or if you use Firefox, go to view then character encoding and click Japanese.
