FLCL
There is no distinct thread for this excellent anime!
I just rewatched the whole thing Monday, and it brought me to some questions.
Spoiler Alerts I guess
What is Medical Meccanica? What is its purpose? What is the purpose of 'ironing out the wrinkles'? What happens to Canti? I know he's there at the end but is he still the same as before? Can Naoto still teleport Medical Meccanica robots/guitars?
-
Medical Machanica is basically what Atomsk [Pirate King] created to control the galaxy. 'Ironing out the wrinkles' would be the method that he uses.
Canti was created by Medical Mechanica, and Atomsk and manifest inside of him... I think Canti is different after Naota gained his powers in the last episode. Because before, Naota was needed to unleased Atomsk's power within Canti. But now that is not needed apparently.
I dunno really. I haven't seen FLCL in a long time. I could use some 4th-wall breaking action right about now.
-
I don't think so though, didn't Amarao say that Medical Mechanica (they spelled it Meccanica on the floor in the anime) captured Atomsk and Haruko wanted to set him free.
-
Oh yes, that's right. Canti was used by Atmosk to escape MM.

um..if its such a good anime why not put links to all the episodes if there online...so u can share the awesomeness?why cant we watch pokemon episodes on this site?
-
You can search yourself with Youtube or Veoh or anywhere else you see fit.
And putting something as copyrighted as actual episodes could create problems for Mewtwo.
-
Fuck I need to watch FLCL again.
-
Oh, and on Medical Mechanica: The 'ironing out the wrinkles' think is likely just symbolism for how throughout the anime Naota is going through some internal adolescent drama about conformity and growing up. But of course Naota is actually very immature(symbolized by not liking sour drinks, spicy food, etc) and his attitude towards adulthood and and conformity are immature, the whole stuff coming out of his head from MM thing probably has something to do with that. Haven't watched it in 2 years so can't go too in depth there.
Just watched like the first 5 minutes of episode one. Fuck, this show is breathtakingly good.
-
I still love episode 5 the most.
-
pretty sure that was my favorite too back in the day
-
I need to browse my nearby video store and see if I can find this show. I'm sure with the acclaim that you all are giving that I won't be disappointed.
-
Woah..
You haven't seens FLCL? It's weird to think that someone hasn't seen it...
-
I'll go buy it with hooker money and it'll be that much better.
-

God i think you should do a commentary..also i watched Ep 1. today.. Its pretty cool^^
-
If I, when I get them, or someone else would put them up, a commentary by Tim would actually be extremely welcomed and interesting.
-
I kinda saw them with Tim's commentary, since when I first saw them it was my birthday I think, and he was there filling me in so I understood.
-
yo anyone watching it ask me to clarify anything you dont understand. i feel like ranting about it.
-
Well, the thing is, they probably don't know what they missed exactly

-
Nanaki you the man for recognizing the awesomeness of this anime.
-
Rewatching childhood animes are pretty bad ass, especially when it's FLCL
-
I think I was 12 or 13 when I first saw it, which was really weird as the only anime I had seen before it were Toonami anime, so it was really different for me.
-
I was 7 or 8 at the time, back in Philippines they had an anime network and played awesome animes such as Rorouni Kenshin and FLCL.
It's funny, that was before I knew that FLCL had only 6 episodes, I originally thought they canceled it and I was freaking out.
