    Kitsa watches the arrow soar out of sight. The lantern stops moving, and falls into the water with a loud splash.
    Kitsa flinches, but prays it didn't make a noise. She creeps forwards with the other two until they reach the hull.

    "I can't tell..." says Ervan. "Anyway, I'll climb up on deck first. If you suddenly see any fire, it's probably me." He jumps onto the side of the ship, grabbing onto the edge of a porthole, then scrambles up to the edge of the deck and looks over. "Nobody around..." He jumps over the rail and draws his sword, just in case.

    In the cabin, almost everyone is asleep. There are two men at the far back playing cards, but they are absorbed in their game.
