How does one go about making money? I was looking up anime conventions for the summer after a guy at the bookstore told me about one in Richmond, and I found AnimeNEXT (the one y'all always meet at?). Now, I've learned from Wikipedia that for the past two years Vic Mignogna (<3<3<3) was there. I dunno if he'll be there this year but dang it I have to try and get there just in case. Whichever convention, I still need to get $$$ to pay for it (preferably in time to preregister). What does one that isn't old enough to get a job do for money?

I sometimes babysit this one family with three kids - a developmentally delayed 6 year old, a 9 year old and a 11 year old. The 11 year old is always really helpful and is better at calming her youngest brother down than I am, so the job is really easy I get paid about 10 to 15 a hour.

Last time I babysat I went from 12 PM to 1 AM. The boys were 5 so they went to bed at 10 AM. It was a good thing they had tivo though. I just sat and watched 15 english episodes of Naruto.

It was way better than watching I Love Lucy.

Sounds like babysitting will be my course of action. I can put a flyer up at church so people know about me and now I have a general price range to go off of. Thanks, guys! With luck I'll be making costumes by May.

Unfortunately it seems I have a shrinking chance of going to AnimeNEXT 07 seeing as my mom would have to take me (Jersey is a long drive for three days' stay). So, the money I get will be taking me to the Richmond convention center. Or Otakon depending on RG's mom.

If you're 15, then it's not particularly hard just to get a job. I get over £300 a week just to make coffee. How easy is THAT.

i get paid 6.50(im actually payed more than any other new people my age there!!) an hour, and the union rips me off and takes a ridiculous ammount from my check

i get 10% off everything though!!!
