In your opinion...

...is it worth it to raise a slowpoke? I've recently picked up my Crystal game to play for nostalgia and I was looking for a decent water type to put on my team. Slowpoke doubles as a psychic and can learn Ice Punch once it evolves to take care of those pesky Dragon types, but it levels up soooo slowly. I was wondering if it's overall stats and moves it learns are worth the time it takes to raise it or should I go with something else?

No, just keep training it. Wait till it evolves into a Slowbro. If you want it to evolve into a Slowking I think you have to have a king's rock.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunatley I cannot trade so I won't be getting Slowking but I've decided Slowbro will be ok. A lot of people on another forum site told me to use Lapras but I almost always use Lapras and wanted to try something new. Plus if possible I think Lapras levels up even slower

Thanks for taking my advice. Slowking also has a variety of moves you teach it like Ice Punch or Psychic.

just brecause he has an old game doesn't mean hes got an emulator. Theres something called a GBA that can play GBC games. Its MAGICAL!

It would be wise to try and evolve into Slowking rather than Slowbrow since Slowking is rarer and has higher defense.

I would evolve it into Slowking but I have no one to trade with...none of my friends still play Pokemon . So far though I have to say that taking the time to raise it is paying off, it does have pretty decent stats not to mention it's easier to raise now that it learned Water Gun and Confusion. Watch out Whitney your Miltanks about to take a beatdown

Wow, I haven't checked this thread in a while. Okay three things:
1. I'm a girl. No hard feelings, I have short hair and I'm a tomboy so I'm used to it.
2. No I do not use an emulator but if I did it wouldn't really be any of your business no would it?
3. I actually use an old gameboy color that I'm suprised still works after the beating its taken. Besides that I have my DS and PS2 for games.

and I finished Crystal (Slowbro was awesome by the way) so if a mod wants to close this thread feel free, unless you just keep threads around until people stop posting in them which is cool too.
