Nearly all republican candidates in the 2008 election (excluding Ron Paul of course) support the DADT system in the military. You just have to stand in awe of the gravity of such a statement. "I support the DADT policy." is like saying "I support the idea that all homosexuals willing to fight and die for their country should be kept in the closet during their entire term or face discharge." I just want to slap them and say "What part of "all men are created equal' don't you understand?" I can't believe such a stance is not only accepted but encouraged in certain (very powerful) circles. Discuss, please.
