Nearly all republican candidates in the 2008 election (excluding Ron Paul of course) support the DADT system in the military. You just have to stand in awe of the gravity of such a statement. "I support the DADT policy." is like saying "I support the idea that all homosexuals willing to fight and die for their country should be kept in the closet during their entire term or face discharge." I just want to slap them and say "What part of "all men are created equal' don't you understand?" I can't believe such a stance is not only accepted but encouraged in certain (very powerful) circles. Discuss, please.

Although I personally haven't thought on this subject and continue to hold the opinion of "I don't give a fuck", I would have to say I support DADT for the simple reason we don't need our soldiers killing each other. Although I'm against homosexuality, there are more important people for our soldiers to kill, like bin laden.

Don't Ask Don't Tell Military Policy? that's what we're talkin about right? I don't think it's such a bad policy. Me.. I think Homosexuality is a sin... of course so is Adultery, unmarried sex, and a host of other things that people do every day. People can't help but sin it's in their nature. It's morals and shit like that (ETHICS AHAHAHAHA Long story sorry) that keep people from doin really bad stuff. Sin is forgiveable and no one should worry too much over it unless it hurts someone else. Homosexuality certainly doesn't hurt any one else... as long as it's between willing partners. BUT THere's a bunch of crazy pyschopaths in the world.. Zealots that take the Vengeance of the Lord and a lot of other shit into their own hands (These people give me a bad name...since I'm admittedly Christian) and the Don't ask DOn't tell policy protects harmless gay guys and gals from otherwise STUPID people that use the Word of God as a Free Pass to beat on people they don't like ESPECIALLY if the person engages in some activity they personally fill as wrong.
