I don't like how I have to be a part of a railway express. An airline of some sort would have been my preferred method of travel.

marx said that capitalism is a step on the path to communism but lately ive been thinking what if he got it backward? communism works exceedingly well in small populations - tiny communities throughout human history have empirically been cooperative. however as a society gets bigger it becomes harder and harder to efficiently allocate resources and the best way to do this is to create a currency and get people to acquire that currency through working or through creating/innovating industries. capitalism actually does a pretty bang up job at this but its effectiveness is diminished by the fact that humans are not rational agents and make stupid uninformed decisions with an astonishing lack of foresight, and this is exacerbated by the proliferation of human beings who lack basic necessities and as a consequence lack an education. so you'll need socialist policies to raise the standard of living to the point where the lowest class is very well educated and doesn't have to worry about food, water, shelter, etc. now when human beings increasingly become rational agents and technology advances to the point that externalities are accounted for and economic depressions can be predicted and mitigated, could it be true that the market should actually get FREER so as to utilize its full efficiency in the light of an informed populace? just a thought.

A freeer economy with less of a labor force (due to technological advances) would only lead to an oligarchy, as one person would own all resources & means of production without a workforce to unionize/rebel.

Also humans would not become "increasingly more rational".

I think my point was that there will be no work forces to unionize
