these are the same right wing idiots who constantly romanticize about the FOUNDING FATHERS and the CONSTITUTION and shit.
heres the thing about the constitution, ignoring for a moment the fact that they didn't really want it to apply to minorities and poor people and shit. these were meant by the "founding fathers" to be INALIENABLE rights to ALL people. it was meant to say, everyone in every country in the world should have these rights, but since we can't be in every country, we're at least putting these rights in place here. it wasn't just supposed to be rights that the law had to begrudgingly accommodate for american citizens.
of course it's never been like that but that's really beside the point when you're talking about how the us should treat prisoners/enemy combatants ideologically. if you want to buy into the romanticization of the founding fathers and the constitution, you have to accept that that is how it was meant.
when these austrian school faggots criticize socialist arguments as "appeals to emotion" or some such, but then their entire philosophy is based on "boo hoo aggression"
