The first attempt was The start of a new era. I decided it was a bit too cliché for an introductory thread title and that it was a tad bit generic. The second shot I had for the title of this topic was definitely an improvement (Don't click on this thread) but it left me feeling rather empty inside. I needed something that was brimming with life, not hopelessly pessimistic. I had finished the rest of my post and I sat down on my chair for a good nine minutes (I know it was nine minutes because I watched the clock on the bottom right corner of the screen), crossing off various thread title ideas that somehow popped into my mind. I wasn't too impressed with any of the options that my brain presented me with so I decided to get a drink as drinking allows me to mellow down a bit and make my thoughts slightly more clear and thorough. I was on my way back from my kitchen, sipping my orange juice when the title of the thread struck me. It was the title. Completely non-generic because it had nothing to do with the thread at all. Now that I think of it though, perhaps it is extremely generic. Just listen to me for a second. Nobody likes being unoriginal, right? I'm a member on a few other forums and the titles of welcoming threads these days and never the realistic thread titles you are comfortable with. Maybe I'm being unoriginal by attempting to be original. It's a paradox, I guess.
Well, I can't say that I'm not impressed with the fact that I managed to waste twenty seconds of your life with that wall of text, but I do feel the need to actually get to the part of the post that this thread was created for. Some of you may be enthralled by what I have to say, others, not so much. That's okay. I know that no matter what I write down here, you will all have forgotten it within five minutes of reading it. I'll write a short biography of myself down despite that depressing thought though.
My name is James. I'd prefer it if you were to call me by my username, but if you have to be a rebel, don't try and give me a nickname or anything like that. James is what I was born with and James is what I will die with. I don't need any other name. I'm seventeen, but I decided long ago that birthdays were not to be celebrated as they just reminded the birthday boy or girl that they were one year closer to death. My favourite colour is grey and my posts would be covered with it if it weren't for the fact that it clashes horribly with the forum skin. Don't worry though, I'll get over it. I tend to over-analyze practically everything and it does irritate people on other forums so you'll unfortunately have to get used to it. I'm also a perfectionist, but from reading through the archived threads I can tell that you were all capable of figuring out that piece of information yourselves. I love music and I have Limewire and music should always be influenced by friends and strangers so if you have any tunes to recommend, please do.
Anyways, the damage is done so I'm going to go and lurk in a few threads or whatnot. Later.
