I'd say Moon Knight off the top of my head...he doesn't have any powers but he's awesome.

Marc Spector

Former Mercenary... he and two of his merc buddie were attacking this town in North Africa... there was an archaeologist there, had a hot daughter. Marc and this other guy, Bushman got in an argument over her... Bushman kills Marc. Well the priests of Khonsu, Egyptian god of Retribution and the Moon, bring him to the Statue of Khonsu, it makes Marc his avatar and resurrects him. So he dones this silver and whitish costume and goes around beating the hell out of criminals. His first appearance was fighting a werewolf...decent shit. Anyways, instead of adopting a secret identity like normal heroes, he has like three.. He's really Marc Spector, but he's also Moon Knight, he also dons the guise of a rich playboy, and a working class cab driver. He gets so into the roles that he develops MPS. Anyways when his new series came out about a year or two ago. They had a pretty unique angle... It works since he doesn't have any actual powers. We all know what can happen to an athlete when he sufferes a debilitating injury, so what happens when it happens to a costumed crimefighter? He fights Bushman again, and Bushman blows his kneecaps out, they fall off a building.. only a story or two so they don't die. Moonknight kills Bushman and cuts his face off. Wellhis injury is horrible, he gets addicted to painkillers, gives up being a hero and his life is shit. Well all of a sudden Khonsu shows back up. (allthough it won't explain if it's actually some ghostly god telling him what to do, or if he's just really crazy) Khonsu makes the book, He's a total dick. Since he's a god he wants recognition, wants Marc to really fuck up criminals publicly. Eventually he gets his shit together again.. sort of. He's still batshit crazy

Some of the Highlights of the new series:
- Khonsu. One kind of badass scene has the Punisher gunning down some drug dealers. Khonsu says something like "My god it's beautiful, You should be that reverent to me," Marc, says "So why don;t you get him to be your avatar?" Khonsu: "Alas, he already serves another, See how he displays his master's emblem?" When Khonsu first shows up.. and for a long time after, he only appears as Bushman, with his face cut off.

- The Profile. The major new supporting character. He's a mutant (I THINK) who has the power to look at people, and instantly develop an incredibly accurate psychological profile of them. He's a major bastard. Marc basically forces him to work for him by threatening to make the Profile look at himself in a mirror.

- He's crazy.. bat shit crazy. And he does some badass shit because of it.
