You know that it's time to go when you don't need to try to be cool.

We're making the mistakes in those cases, not them.

American dictionarys were intentionly slowly changed to get rid of U's and stuff like that during the early 1800's to seperate us further from England

    Pretty childish, huh?

For you sure, but I'm north of you, so that dictionary thingie doesn't apply to me. And when it affects me it pisses me off.

There's more than one way to spell things correctly. The professor in the article is using a strawman argument; "judgement" and "judgment" are simply two ways to spell the same thing (like "realize" and "realise"), and is up to personal preference, or the region where you live. "Their" and "thier" are not.

In conclusion, I'll echo Twig. The man is, for lack of a better word, a crock.

now I'm going to admit that I'm not going to even bother clicking the link but it's indisputable any discussion on spelling, grammar, punctuation, pronunciation and so forth cannot be called serious discussion. that would be preposterous. spelling is the single most ridiculous thing to debate or to even discuss after maybe religion. seriously what is the point of it. therefore this thread is pretty lame.

You didn't capitalize your sentences, Lacey.

Thank you for your humble opinion.

Also, consider: "Capitalization marks the difference between 'I helped my Uncle Jack off a horse' and 'i helped my uncle jack off a horse'."
