You, my friend, have a way with words.
Well, it is my job as necromancer to keep threads from dying, or to keep them alive, in this case the latter.
I like ghost a lot. It's been real unappreciated. RBY there was one evo chain of ghosts, and 2 ghost attacks.
Actually I tried deleting my original posts but apparently it didn't work, so I just replaced them with "......."
You can't erase the first post, that's like a chain of events without a starting event. Kind of like evolutionists that can't agree with how the earth was made in the first place. But I won't go there, this isn't a debate forum.
Well, now that you're back and this thread is necromanced, what is your favorite type? let's get this ball rolling.
I saw the original and I don't know why you took it out.
I meant to reply before now but I can't decide my favorite one for all the types so I'll post a partial list.
Psychic = Gardevoir
Plant = Roselia or Treecko (for sheer cuteness)
Flying = Staraptor
Bug = Dustox
Fighter = Machamp
Fire = Infernape or Rapidash
Water = Ludicolo

Fire = Ponyta
Water = Kyogre
Grass = Roselia
Electric = Magneton
Ice = Spheal
Psychic = Alakazam
Dark = Houndoom
Dragon = Salamence
Normal = Persian
Fighting = Hitmonlee
Rock = Regirock
Ground = Dugtrio
Steel = Registeel
Bug = Beedrill
Poison = Arbok
Flying = Chatot
Ghost = Mismagius
Well, my intent was to get people to post their favorite Pokemon within each type. I can't say I have a definite favorite type but I do find myself using more grass, electric, and fire types. Anyhoo, as for my original post, here it is:

Yep, silly me. Sorry for removing my posts. My list is obviously too long but they really are all my favsOf course, I have my top favs from each group as well. And as some might guess, many of them made it on the list simply on a matter of visual appeal *hangs head in shame*
Hang your head in shame? why? that's one of the most important factors in this!
Well, now that I know what you meant, I'll repost.
*searching through a bunch of junk files for a word document I made presumably on a rainy day*
Found it! This also turns out to be in the order of my favorite type. More than one means I like more than one the most
Ghost - Gengar (the original ghost), Dusknoir (The king ghost), Rotom, or Giratina
Dark - Sneasel, Sharpedo
Water - Tentacruel, Vaporeon, Feraligatr (duh), Kingdra, Palkia
Poison - Crobat, Muk (I don't know why!)
Steel - Steelix (Had a japanese card of one, before Gold and Silver were in America. Thought it was called Steel Onix, not entirely incorrect), Metagross, and Lucario
Dragon - Kingra, Altaria, and 4th Gen Mascots
Fight - Blaziken, Breloom, Lucario, Gallade
Fire - Ninetails (Especially Shiny), Blaziken Torkoal
Electric - Luxray, Rotom (I mostly like battling capabilities of electric, not its species)
Psychic - Gardevoir, Gallade, Grumpig, Metagross
Flying (was my favorite in RBY, until I found it's serious flaws) - Pidgeot, Noctowl, Crobat, Altaria, Mantyke
Ground - Torterra, Rhyperior
Ice - Sneasel, Frolass
Grass - Breloom, Torterra, Carnivine (Only for looks, baby!)
Bug - Scyhter, Ariados
Rock (was my favorite before flying) - Rhyperior
Normal (non-flying) - Ursaring, Vigiroth, Exploud, Spinda (had 50 in my ruby. Each one does have a different face!)
What flaws did you find with Flying?
It has a lot of weaknesses: Ice (common due to dragons) Electric (Very good type) Rock (some people use it a lot for it's defensives) and at the time I thought also Fire. I found out probably a year ago that it isn't. Bacause it had 4 weaknesses and maybe 3 SEs. Plus, once I looked at stats, they're all speed and no attack or defense. speed can only do so much. I was more of water and, once RSE came out with more, Dark. Now I like ghost because there's respectable numbers of species, attacks, and powerful ones, now that the single-formed misdreavus is gone (like murkrow*) and Giratina and Dusknoir are here.
*Dark has 2 weaknesses: Fighting and Bug. you know what's good against both of those? Flying. Murkrow deserved an upgrade or a replacement, and now has it.
I find that many 4th Gen. additions were unnecessary, in my opinion. These include Honchcrow, but there are much, much worse (eg., Electivire, Magmortar, Tangrowth, Magnezone, Rhyperior)
Not only do they look ridiculous, but to me it shows a lack of creativity seeing how they are simply evolutions of existing Pokemon rather than coming up with entirely new ones. I hope if there's a 5th Gen. that someone comes up with something fresh.
IF there's a fifth generation? you mean when fifth generation comes out. This is an unstopable force. Slow-down-able, but not stoppable.
It is a good point, that New stuff should come out, but I like these upgrades. there were so many weak single-form pokemon that would have much promise if upgraded, such as Misdreavus and Murkrow. I told you how necessary Murkrow is. Plus, imagine if Eevee stuck with only 3 evos (that sounded weird)? I see you have 5 eeveelutions, 4 of which weren't around at the time of eevee's conception. I think these upgrades are good as long as they don't overdo it, like they did with DPPt. (Btw, what are the next games going to be called? they've already done basic colors, precious metals, and overdone gemstones (Crystal, Sapphire, Ruby, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl. that's 3 too many IMO). I'm thinking constellations (I am so buying Aquarius!))
Yeah, I probably should've said "when", being so obvious and all. In fact, I hope they keep churning more and more of the addictive little critters. I think it's more a matter of money for me, though. I don't want to spend the rest of my days upgrading to new game consoles and having to import the Pokemon I have from game to game to game...All of the Nintendo handhelds I have owned were bought solely for the purpose of playing Pokemon. Imagine the waste of money that will turn out to be for someone like me. Unless there's some kind of loophole I'm not yet aware of.
Well, there's the loophole of working for nintendo, so all that money comes straight back to you, or working at a game store for employee discounts on games, consoles, games and consoles for other people, etc.
In fact, you could learn Japanese (it would help) and move to Japan and help churn out more of those critters. That would be a fun job, if you didn't go insane in the process...
Actually I'm going to be majoring in Game Design once I go to school, and I have seriously toyed with idea of working for Nintendo and working on the team that produces Pokemon...or is that Game Freak? Well, both, but whatever! And learning Japanese is on my list of things to do before I get too old and/or die. Though you're rarely too old to do most things. Such as spend gross amounts of time playing with imaginary creatures and making them fight.
And btw, what is your FC? I'm collecting them from people I like in the event I can use the wi-fi feature and engage in a good battle with someone who isn't an Ace trainer or Beauty.
I'll get you my FC tomorrow, I'm kinda rushed.
And I think I'm a "roughneck"
And I know a lot about the brain, and it is too late to start doing some things, like learning Japanese. The best time to learn languages is from first speaking to about 13, which is ironic considering that's when most schools start teaching languages.
Yep, I've read about that. Still gonna try it. And I find that the school system here (assuming here is the US for you too) is pretty crappy to begin with. They seem to be poorly versed in child psychology and development and...well, I'm not going to get into that or I'll have to start a new thread.

You mean what your sprite is? just go to the mining town (can't remember it's name) pokecenter and talk to some person there. You can choose from 4 of the 8 for your gender anytime.
I had the Ace trainer option, but I turned it down. Too many people were going to pick it.
I'm not getting this.
How is this a forum game? Shouldn't this go in the Games discussion?
