    Actually it's perfectly plausible. Virtual particles (you can google it just fine on your own) are essentially incredibly small particles of matter that are created spontaneously with essentially no fuel, and as such they can be created in a vacuum. Now, you have to understand, these things are so small and fleeting that we cannot even see them, just their energy traces. However, it is possible that if in the pre-big bang vacuum of space, there would be enough virtual particles in one place at the same time to create enough friction to spark something big bang-esque. Of course, the possibility of this happening is very small, but when you have infinity to mess around with, it's going to happen eventually. Thus, science explains the big bang theory of non-living creation just fine.

    It needs to use no fuel at all or you would then have to explain where these particles and fuel come from.
