I can't believe you didn't get Roxanne the Hoenn rock gym leader.
yeah if you go too far with that you can get in big trouble with perceived and real racial slurs or other slights. What if they decided to use Epandanandas, the Dark Pokemon Trainer? Or Insert famous serial killer who got the chair, The Electroctued Convict! (like the Lightning American)

Okay, Qoorl, I wasn't going that far (although I do like some of them). These games are made for children, even if we aren't children.
And Dragonfright, I found a pun in EVERY gym leader's name except a few: Jasmine (Steel) Claire (Dragon) and Tate & Liza (Psychic) (and Koga's daughter who replaced him in GSC, but that's because I forgot her name).
If you really want, I will explain every single one to you, Kanto to Sinnoh, but you don't probably want to waste your time and I don't want to waste my breath. Just ask and I will tell you though.
In the mean time, I hope this bad idea for a thread vanishes.

Glacius9, Giovanni doesn't train rock types, so your 'geo' is incorrect - it is merely a popular Italian Mafia name which goes well with his leadership of Team Rocket and how it's basically the Mafia of Pokémon. Otherwise, yes it's usually like that.
