capitalism sure rules huh
that the industry was de-regulated in the name of the "free market", and the free market led to, obviously, short sighted greedy practiced such as sub-prime lending, which of course collapsed destroying the entire economy, and the only thing that is keeping this from being the second great depression is the government coming to the rescue and the SOCIALIST POLICIES of FDR.
I'd say this was all staged so that the "revamping of our economy" will do away with paper money, digitize everything and microchip everybody so that the government could control people more easily but I'm afraid you'd all laugh at me and call me a consPiracy nut.
Plus, I don't know the economy from a hole in the wall.

What's great is how we just bailed out those money loaners who were in dept so more people could take money from them.
Full circle economics, I call it.
Let's see if any deal is made by tonight, and if a bill gets passed before the jewish holiday.

You realize the government are the ones who issue money right?
I'm not American, but I'm pretty sure that has something to do with trying to keep companies funded. I mean, without wall street all the money that's in stocks (which might I add a lot of companies insist their management have) will deplete and in worst case scenarios, banks will close, making money disappear out of your pockets.
Now as I said, I'm not American so I could be completely wrong on this whole thing and have it completely backwards, but I know that there is a bit of method to their madness.
Not saying I agree with it though, not that over here in Canada my opinion really matters XP

People know what the Great Depression was like, and they want it to stay The Great Depression in 50 years, not refer to it as 'Depression I'
