    In Wheel of Time Padan Fain makes shadowless rooms with lots of light to prevent the shadow jumping myrdraal from shadow jumping so he can torture them. If they turn sideways in a shadow they can turn up in another shadow anywhere in the world. They are pretty freakin cool baddies.
