Best defense against Darkness?
Okay, here's the deal:
My son has a deck that has the Larvitar-Pupitar-Tyranitar evolution. The thing is Tyranitar's GRIND attack doles out 20 damage for every energy card he has under it.
Is there ANY way to defend against all that damage?
He keeps beating me with the same strategy of just stacking energy under it.
AAAAARRRGH!!
Thanx.

Good to see the posting of this question wasn't a complete waste of time.

Ahh, have a sense of humor Big Shoe
Chances are you would have recieved no responce if I didn't respond
Most people here don't even know how to play the card game anyway
-
Besides, if I remember correctly, isn't there a Remove Energy card, I had like a million of them
-
Yeah, remove energy card or don't let him evolve it.
-
Is the suggestion then to do damage while it's on the bench? I know I've got a few cards that can do that.
-
Or remove the Energy to keep his power down
Are you really being outsmarted by a child?

A lamp isn't a portable defence and is much more fragile, A flashlight is superior
-
a lamp allows light to access a far wider area than a flashlight. a flashlight only shines light in a fairly linear direction. when you hold a flashlight, there is still darkness behind you. with a lamp, not so.
-
How about the type of flashlight that converts into a Lantern
And what if he's in a dark cave or in a dark forrest, a lamp is useless in those circumstances
-
All things being equal I would say a Mag-Lite. If all else fails you can smack down your opponent with it. And yes I am being outsmarted by a 9 year-old.
-
Mag-lite, meaning a flashlight
I win
And HA HA HA HA

Beginning Trainer
use a move that lets you beat at it whiles its still benched, a few pokes have them or just get something with a resistance to it. and damn i was going to suggest a light too.....
but seriously, your son is outsmarting you.....
