A lover from my past. She wanted to talk to me one night after awhile of me and my gf were going steady. Kassy wanted to know where me and her stood. Now, Kassy wanted someone else but still loved me. I said I don't share a heart and I said my goodbyes, before I met mu gf. She was upset for a while, but, as it usually is the case, she understood and recognized I had every right to want what I felt I deserved. None the less, she came to me one night, and this night in particular she was quite upset. Long story short, she was saddened that my heart was taken, saddened that what we had could not be, and saddened, that she was greedy and instead of staying with me, wanted something less stable and more wild; that works for some, but, that's not Kassy. No one, to her (and many women might I add), could ever compare to me, or rather---ever touch their lives like I. How I love someone, how I help someone, how, how I care for for someone, it's something that leaves a feeling forever. And she was upset that I couldn't be hers. She knew what it was like to be my lover, and knew a friendship with me would never reach the weightless heights of emotions and love that me giving her my heart ever did.
She was upset, but yet, after we talked, she could still smile. You know why? Because, for a small moment in time, I was hers, and she, she was mine---a memory with laughter, sorrow and joy. Tis life, no?
