Maybe, we need to get through college first, at least that's what we want to do. As I have always thought about marriage, people should wait till there at least 21. And if that means wait a few years then it's ok, if you guys break up by then, well, I guess it wasn't meant to be. We'll be 22 after college so if we're still together after that I'll give her a Princess Cut Ring with yellow gold. She wants to be a school teacher like me and wants to see the world. But I think why I love her so much is that she's so excepting of me, even my faults. But, I promised her the bad sides of me would change if she wanted to. So we wrote a list of things about our likes and dislikes about each other and we have been working them out. We had a few fights, but what I notice is every time we have a fight, we as a couple grow stronger and more in love. I think what kills a relationship is not being honest and not talking to each other. I have never once told a lie to her, I don't plan to. I told her I want to be rich and she laughed at me saying that she doesn't want money, just happiness. And then I said to her, "Well you're lucky then, cause I'll give you both. You'll be one of those lucky ones that see the world and share a life with the one you love and cherishes you even with your faults." She was the first to say, "I love you." I never say it first, even if I want to. I never want someone to feel like they HAVE to love, even if it hurts, so I wait for them to say it first. All and all we're happy, but whatever happens happens. Enjoy everyday as much as you can and hope for the best, that's all anyone can really do.

Marriage is actually an archaic practice, so there is really no need to get married at all unless you just want the tax break. Honestly, the tax break isn't that great at all, so there is no point.

Well, I'm married, and I really don't think the piece of paper hanging on the wall proclaiming such really affected my ability to procreate, nor does it affect my family or child. Getting married is expensive and boring, and it doesn't really change anything afterward. Weddings are nothing but something to fight over.
Unless you are religious and need your god's approval to fuck and make babies... I really see no reason to get married. I just did it to stop my mom from nagging about what a sinner I was living with my boyfriend and, "What must the neighbors think!!!"
I'm not saying DON'T get married, I'm just saying its a pretty useless institution. If you are going to cheat, you are going to anyway. The piece of paper doesn't bind you any closer together, or add anything to a relationship.
After living together for 7 years you are common law married anyway.
