    Default The Simpsons

    I have grown up on this show. there are such satirical gems in the early seasons. comfortably nestled in a corner of my mind is a book of simpsons quotes that I simply can't seem to be rid of. but these days it's just agonising to watch the recent episodes. It literally makes me cringe watching it but out of some sort of ingrained habit I still sit through it. just feeling a little wistful after watching a repeat of homer's almost-affair with mindy.

    The new Simpsons episodes are utterly abysmal. By abysmal, I don't mean figuratively. If TV was a large, large mountain with an endless sea of a limitless distance below it, the new The Simpsons episodes and Family Guy would be at the abyss.
