    Default Astronaut Farmer

    What the fuck with this movie. I mean, what the fuck. It's about this farmer who is absolutely obsessed with rockets and wants to become an astronaut, so he builds one in his barn. SOMEHOW, he manages to build a top-of-the-line rocket ALL BY HIMSELF and got these materials from a ROCKET JUNKYARD and the feds didn't catch on until he bought some high-grade oil that was supposed to be illegal.

    The movie was a bore. It was totally unrealistic and the entire time I was waiting for the rocket to blow up and the guy (Billy Bob Thornton) to die. The most exciting part of the movie was when they first launched the rocket and it fell over and went sideways and he crashed and nearly died. Other than that it was a bunch of "oh daddy we know you can be our rocket man follow your dreams aghweuiaghdgjhkoagjekaghj" I WANTED EXPLOSIONS. WHY?!

    I hate inspirational movies. No one ever dies and nothing exciting ever happens. It's a bunch of "follow your dreams" crap and in the end I always walk away feeling like I completely wasted three hours of my life. I wanted to see the Zodiac instead but my parents insisted I see Astronaut Farmer. Last time I go to the movie theatres with them!

    You're better off using those three hours to watch the whole series of FLCL. That's one of the pros to having only 6 episodes.

    yea that movie looked like it sucked some major ass!!! I actually like when i see a movie thats like "follow ur dreams" but only when its realistic... I would'nt have waisted my time...

    Actually, serial killers are one of my favorite interests. When I first met Casey, I knew WAY more about serial killers than she did. I educated her in a sense by lending her books

    well that can be argued by several points, DSX. The main difference in our mutual fascination of serial killers is quite simple - I am fascinated by the psychological part and WHY they do it, and she just likes the gore. I have the more refined taste as you can see

    so in terms of learning the psychology of serial killers, she will never surpass me. she will always be below.

    Indeed it is. Speaking of which, I lent out a book on serial killers a few weeks ago and I haven't gotten it back since. I really hate how people don't return my stuff after a good period of time.

    The worst is when someone asks you to borrow something of yours, and so you let them, and then a few weeks go by and eventually you back up to them and say, "hey, where's the thing I lent you?" and then the person says, "oh, I lent it to so-and-so." Uhh, no. You don't lend out MY things without asking me first.

    Also, when people mistreat my things, that drives me up the wall too. I lent out a dvd once and the person got a huge water stain on it and then blamed another person for it. liarrrrsssssss
