you sort of cant form a sentence if you dont know how to conjugate words
we just did very, very, very simple japanese, like "suki desu" and stuff like that

desu isnt actually a word like the others you listed though
i think it conjugates nouns
it's kind of like the equivalent of "it is" but not exactly
