    Default I think my laptop charger broke

    I inadvertently dropped its tip into a glass of water on the floor and didn't notice. When I plugged it back in to the laptop I think it short circuited. No idea how much damage has been done to the computer and will probably go to a store today and find out. What a stupid way to kill a charger.

    If it short circuted your Laptop, that would break the laptop not the recharger... I think.

    The reason why power cables have that box on them is to stop damage to the laptop.
