Default Pokemon: Setting a World Record

    http://www.iza.ne.jp/news/newsarticl.../movie/276437/

Guinness World Records 9 added “Pocket Monsters Diamond & Pearl the Movie: Giratina and the Sky Bouquet: Shaymin” (Pokémon: Giratina and the Sky Warrior) to their records as the most pre-ordered anime in history. There was a total of 2,384,198 pre-ordered tickets, making the gross about 20 billion yen (about 200 million in American dollars).

Usually Pokemon movies only reach about the 100,000 mark. The staff behind the Pokemon movies are awaiting to see if the next movie will beat that record when it gets released on the 18th.

    Good lord!!

Why would anyone wanna see the new pokemon movie

I'd figure the first movie would have a lot of pre orders, since that was the prime of the era

The movies are actually pretty awesome. They're better than the TV show anyway.

Plus it's cool how the movies are tying into each other, the next one will tie up the storyline with an all-out brawl apparently.
