Default Stupid pokemon weaknesses and strenghts

    Like for example
-Ghost types can not attack normal types
-bug is strong against phychic and dark
    -flying is strong against fighting
They do not even make any sense but some like rock is strong against bug types is stupid but it makes oddly sense.

They could've put it in just to balance the game a little.

I doubt a rock to the spine helps flying.

Yes most of these type matchups are stupid but at the end of the day. The only few that make sense is the beginning triangle of "fire v grass v water" and a few select others. This could get real deep but even though alot of matcups are stupid it doesnt matter, because you still play pokemon riiight?

Flying vs Fighting... harder to punch stuff if it's not level with you...
Ghost vs. Normal... the ghosts are sposed to be intangible...
Bug vs. Psychic... Hard to concentrate when being bitten by thousands of ants...

No ice freezes the water in the ground and causes it to fall apart called ice chipping. Water does not take much effect to freezing.

Ice also splits rocks, so why aren't rock types weak against it?

I always thought Poison/Psychic/Bug was weird. If you were gonna control the mind of anything, you'd think a bug would be the easiest. Also, it'd be hard for your brain to function if it was being poisoned. Ask any kid huffing the stuff under his mom's sink.

I've heard explanations but none ever quite held up for me. I mean when I hear words like "neurotoxin" thrown around everyday and how bugs like ants, bees & termites are basically 99.9 percent slaves, it pisses me off. EsPecially considering how Poison's only two strengths, bug & plant pokemon are usually half poison anyway, rending it's effects null, it just seems completely retarded. Like on of the game makers in Japan screwed up and misread the effects table and they kind of just rolled with the mistake rather than try and fix it ever since.

I usually thought that since bugs act more mechanical than anything, their thought process is different. So a psychic thing can't controll something that doesn't even think.
Poison being weak to ground, well, poison could mean any type of poison. Pouring bleach into the ground or using a weed killer will kill all the plants in that area, but the ground will still be... the ground. Sure, things may not be able to grow, but the ground is still the ground.

Normal Pokemon and Ghost type pokemon can't hit each other. That makes sense to me. Going off that ghost do exist, ghosts can't effect people directly, they have to use psychological tricks on us to "affect" people.

Water isn't weak to ice because ice is made up of water. Putting ice in your water doesn't destroy water, it just makes it cold when you drink it.

Why rock isn't weak to ice, here goes:
When you freeze dirt, you can shatter it. When you freeze a rock and smash it on the ground, nothing really happens. Sure when water seeps into cracks of a rock can freeze, thus cracking it, yet it's still water that has to be in there. Instead of thinking ICE, think COLD or freezing something. What would freezing something do?

Why flying type beats fighting. The rules to fighting, if an opponet stands higher from where you are at (like on a slope or on the side of a hill) they have the advantage because they can easily move downwards to your level while you will have trouble to reach theirs. That's why when someone in a fight who is on the ground will most likely lose to a standing opponent.
And since we all know that flying pokemon can... fly! They clearly have an advantage over an opponent, thus fighting type has a disadvantage.

Thank you for the ice to rock one I never thought it was the cold plus the water that does that.
