communal control over the means of production.
you see, the way capitalism works is, rich people, who were born rich and had everything handed to them, are able to control the institutions that produce societies wealth, and are therefore able to get workers to produce that worth for them, and pay them LESS than the wealth they produce, and take the surplus wealth for themselves.
in communism, the entire society would own the institutes that produce a societies wealth, and said wealth would be distributed in a way that ensured a decent standard of living for every person. not more rich people getting rich off of other people's work, for no other reason than they were born into a middle or upper class family, and had mommy and daddy to hand them the life which allowed them to unfairly gain control over those institutions.
if this sounds good to you, thundermew, you should become a communist.
