What? how is a religion that promotes killing non-believers peaceful?

That is not how evolution works, as Amon Ra points out. There would be no benefit to an alligator having a mutation that even began along the steps towards wings. It would be outperformed by individuals without that mutation and the mutation would quickly be removed from the genepool. The only creatures that ever benefited from the slight mutation from arm to wing were the small dinosaurs that eventually evolved into birds all those millennia ago. Before them you would find the common ancestor: the ancestor species to both crocodiles and dinosaurs. It was probably just some reptile that looked more like a crocodile than a dinosaur.
A similar story applies to your fish/monkey. Far back in the history of the earth some fish made the transition from sea to land. One of these is the ancient ancestor to monkeys and also a fish. Of course you wouldn't know it was the ancestor to monkeys to look at it: it would look like a fish because that's what it would be, a fish.
Actually humans are the closest fish monkeys there are with our hair noses ear structure and body plan some scientist theorise that before the ice ages we where heading to become some sort of otter monkey creature. Our closest relative the chimpanzee can not even swim and if ears are filled with water it will die.
An eye for an eye... a tooth for a tooth... sounds peaceful to me.

Shadow, you're confusing Islam with the interpretation of it by Jihadis.

Shadow would and kill it to cover up evolution
As Leo pointed out, let's go back to the topic of evolution..

Really? Becuase if you ask a muslim cleric they will tell you that among the ways for a muslim to get into heaven is killing non-believers. Hell, the reason islam is so big in the middle east is because in order to go the heaven they had to kill non-believers or force them to convert at sword-point, and if they died in a "holy war" they'd get 72 virgins or w/e bull crap their religous leaders fed them.
Now could someone point me to the last post that was actually about evolution?

Care to tell me how the chimpanzee is our closest relative? Dna doesn't show it. Yes, their dna is 99.something% similar, but that is still too different to have kids, and that's also only one segment. The as you test more of the whole strand, the differences between chimp dna and human dna actually gets much larger. I'm not sure off the top of my head, but when the whole strand of dna is analyzed the similarity between human and chimp dna is MAYBE 20-something percent at most. I'll post the exact numbers later when I get can go get the book that info came from.

I would love to see the peer-reviewed scientific paper claiming that, Shadow.
i cant believe i even have to SAY this to someone over 6 but if you also ask certain christian ministers they will say all gay people are evil and are going to hell and american intervention in the middle east is doing gods work etc.
the reason islam is so big in the middle east is because it happens to be the religion the ruling class chose to promote a few hundred years ago.Hell, the reason islam is so big in the middle east is because in order to go the heaven they had to kill non-believers or force them to convert at sword-point, and if they died in a "holy war" they'd get 72 virgins or w/e bull crap their religous leaders fed them.
extreme interpretations of islam are so big in the middle east because the west cannot stop murdering middle eastern civilians for their oil for even a few seconds.
ps shadow you need to start posting all your scientific/political beliefs here more
Do you realize how many different factions and sects there are in Christianity itself? How God can be the divine avenger in one and the compassionate forgiver in the next? It all comes down to interpretation,Shadow.
I have a couple of Muslim friends and they say that true Islam is non-violent. Just because a couple of influential leaders interpreted it in a certain way and influenced a whole lot of <mostly> uneducated religious people to listen to them doesn't mean the whole religion is to be condemned.
