I think why not and the stupid "It needs to stay 50 states becuase thats how it must be. I grew up that way." arguement is not valid.

They need 60,000 people, a constitution, and they need to want to be a part of the union. Over the years they have time and time again refused to join as a state and I can't really blame them.

i think their governor right now wants it to be a state. also i think there's a bill open that has something to do with it.
I thought Puerto Rico didn't want to be in the Union. I know we have offered, but...
