Indeed. Hey, is yellow ok or are Orientals still offended by that? I feel like it never really caught on so it's possible we can still keep that one without offending chinamen.

No idea why that's supposed to be offensive. Once my mum and I were comparing how tanned we got after the beach. And then the conversation went something like:

Me: I don't get how some chinese are so white!
Mum: (Giving me a strange look): No, chinese are yellow.
Me: Er, isn't it white or beige?
Mum: No, we're yellow!!!

I dunno, when I think yellow I think smiley emoticon kind of yellow, which is rather weird. So yeah, most of us are okay with it, I guess?

HRmm.. In Wal-amrt I found.... Black Barbie! Not an african american colorized barbie. She was in a Deluxe Collector's edition 1980 box with Black Barbie written across the top. And Below that... SHe's Beautiful, Talented, and DynoMITE!

HRmm.. In Wal-amrt I found.... Black Barbie! Not an african american colorized barbie. She was in a Deluxe Collector's edition 1980 box with Black Barbie written across the top. And Below that... SHe's Beautiful, Talented, and DynoMITE!

They also made an "Oreo Barbie" when Mattel had a partnership with Nabisco. To sell more, they made white and black Barbies. Needless to say, a black doll called "Oreo Barbie" wasn't the wisest marketing decision.
