I think Ben Franklin is more of the hero. He spent years over seas negociating with France and Britian.

So much so, he developed a hard-on for the crown and grew completely out of touch with the American people. Franklin told Britain the Stamp Act was an AWESOME idea, apparently having no clue that Americans were completely opposed to it, and was dumbstruck when protestors started rioting at his house. Britain then continued making decisions that would further alienate the colonists because Benji was off nailing expensive French hookers.

Truth is, some Texans are dumb, but not all of us fall into the stereotypical "country hick" category. Sure I own horses and the like, but I know how to use a computer, see? Just throwing this out there too... cowboy boots are the most comfortable footwear EVER.

It depends on what smartness is, it's a matter of opinion. Is a computer repair man smarter than an Amish farmer? The farmer would most likely survive Y2K, would he not?

I have to disagree. Withough knoledge of your world there can not be any creativity. Classic example: early man was always working to hunt and gather bt once he gained the knowledge to grow crops and raise stock then and only then did he have enough time to paint early drawings.

Creativity goes beyond art. Without creativity, knowledge will never evolve.

Possibly it would take the first man a bit of creativity to place the beast in the pen. But then you can't say either of them are alone creativity and knoledge are intertwided.
