    Well, you can always deposit a pokemon in your pc, if I'm reading your request right. It's the computer inside pokecenters.

    You also need to use the PC if you want to release a Pokemon, but you probably don't.

    And it is possible to get five before reaching Cherrygrove. Rattata, Pidgey, Sentret, Geodude and Spearow, and Hoothoot if you wait for the sun to set.

    Go to ANY pokemon center in there there is a computer where you move around and store pokemon its very easy from there.
