    Just because I want him out of this misc doesn't mean I want him to disappear completely.. I just think he's fuckin this board up, and he can take his pompous persona elsewhere, that I might check up on it from time to time, and see if he's changed at all.

    I haven't found a post of his to date where I've smiled, or felt remotely.. to say the VERY least, amused. I usually either scowl, or cringe, depending on the subject matter and who he's talking to. If it's to me I tend to grip my soda can so hard it bursts.

    The Editor is a Brit of high esteem. i should think he has plenty to contribute on various issues, and surely the fact that you don't find his posts entertaining shouldn't be an incentive for him to be banned? i mean you seem to think this Misc is a utopia tailored to your own social needs... yes, that's basically the form that this Misc has taken over the years, but I personally think allowing The Editor would be a real step towards creating a tolerant Misc so that we can be an actual forum rather than some retarded circle jerk of pseudo-elitists.

    but I guess I can't argue this that well. I'm determined for Ed to be in the Misc as well as anyone else that wants to be part of it. Fundamentally, a forum is about diversity, whereas an AIM social group is about who is the most hardcore gang in the school. It's always been this way. Many people on this forum have annoying personality traits, God and Mario The Black Knight being huge examples, yet we don't just click a button and ban them from the Misc. Instead, we allow them to shape the Misc and the discussion that goes on here. The Editor should be allowed the same right, in my opinion. I'm pretty sure when TeenageAngst started posting everyone despised him. Nobody was particularly fond of my posts when I joined this forum and I was banned by kg at one point but now I'm largely tolerated, or so I like to think. The Misc is shaped by people with quirky personalities.

    Yes, the Misc has become slightly more structured, but I'm sure it should be given the right to transform once more. tl;dr - if you want to get rid of Ed, form a forum like groovy5 (or indeed join groovy5) and post there, making sure to not tell Ed the URL. There are plenty of opportunities for childish elitism elsewhere.

    Why?
    Sure, some of his posts are a bit annoying(I've seen some, since I've been browsing some random threads) but him being a Mr. Know-it-all sometimes is helpful.
    After all, it's nice to have someone to answer your questions.
    Especially if it's not posted in guides or FAQs.
    Plus, his egotistical side being the Mr. Know-it-all isn't that much annoying.
    Unless you were aiming to be one but got bested by him.

    I agree with Hicky.... Ed's not as bad as a lot of you seem to think. Besides,why is what he says so annoying anyway? Just disregard his posts if you like,or do as Midnight says and put him on your ignore list.
