Aside from that, ever since the first releases of D/P Pokemon made their appearances all I can think is "You guys are reallllly running out of ideas".

The legendaries... I have no problem with them since they remind me of the Angels from Neon Genesis Evangelion. Though, they don't look very Pokémon-y to me. Compare Mewtwo, Mew, The legendary birds. It seems like the original 251 looked plain. After that, Pokémon needed weird shapes and colors along with random stripes. Then they needed to be more intricate compared to previous Pokémon. It's like they were trying to out do themselves each generation.

true true. And agree-ish. They haven't run out of ideas, they just lost what Pokémon resembled (Should resemble).

Now don't you tell me that those ain't wierd. And if you do its becuase you are just so accusomed to these weird dudes that even though they are infact weird you don't notice. But heaven forbit if they make any other wird pokemon that you aren't use to.

that's the thing, the original ones had features that made them unique. Such as machamps multimple arms, magmar's butt-head, lickitung's... tounge. The new one's are just plain animal's with weird color's.

Straight up; Lickatung, Drowzee, Machamp, and Parasect don't look weird.

I can't see what's before or after Parasect, so I can't say.

Sure, Magamar looks weird, but he looks like a monster that had more thought put into it's design. We have our Mankey and Primapes, Voltorbs and Electrodes, but they don't look odd.

I think they simply ran out of creativity and said:
let's take Blazekin's eyebrows, Heatran's body, Aipom's eyes, make it fire-type and primate like.

Of course the style changed, Ken Sugimori (who drew the original 251) isn't creating the Pokémon anymore. The other guys in GameFreak are making up their own while Ken Sugimori approves them (because he's the Art Director).

I never really liked the Pokémon from Ruby/Sapphire and beyond because they look weird. Some do look like Pokémon, but others... what the hell.
