The world record for solving the Rubik's cube blindfolded is under two minutes. Pretty impressive. I tried solving it once and I sat on the couch for one goddamn agonising hour before giving up. It's insanely difficult. Or perhaps I just suck at puzzles.

@Pikatwo: i think it's supposed to be like chess and how far ahead you can plan your moves to match up the cube correctly without ruining other things.
As for solving it blindfolded? that's just dumb luck and spamming. I don't know if you're allowed to look at it before being blindfolded, because if you are then someone has a fantastic memory.
I solve it the old fashioned way: Get an old rubix's cube and change the stickers.
Chess are harder, you never know what will be your opponent's next move.
